A Promise

Not that anyone probably reads this but i WILL have my EP done in the next 3 weeks.

I already have 3-4 decent songs in the works and am hoping to end up with like 5 solid tracks.

I will be selling them but just for as much as it takes to make back the money i pay to purchase and make the CDs.

Finals are next week so i won't be able to really put the time needed into it until the week after.

April showers bring.. well.. probably more May showers.

So at this point i'm definitely taking summer classes.

Basically just an Economics class and then all the rest.. labs. haha

I'll get a real job. One that is consistent. 

Will still be living at 21 Quint aka boosh until end of August.

Then over to Hemenway.

As of now i'm pretty content. 

Minus the few dumb as fuck professors i have that have their thumbs up their own asses so far that they can't contemplate anything other than the jazz idiom. 

I just can't stand those kinds of people.

But other than that it's all good.

I bombed ass on a couple midterms but it won't be hard to make up, i'm sure.

I mean i do it every semester. hahaha

I'm still working on my EP tentatively titled "Keep In Touch."

I think i might make a myspace just for my music but i'm not sure yet.

If i can get like a 9 song piece together then i'll just put it up on myspace and try to sound remotely legit.

Anyhow. I'm going to try to post something interesting soon.

I just hadn't updated in a while so i felt like it was the perfect thing to do at 1 in the morning.

Besides sleeping.

Twice the Tongues, Twice the Fun.

I've been waiting and waiting and I finally obtained the collaboration album of Max Bemis (say anything) and Chris Conley (saves the day).

My goodness, was it worth the wait.

The name they gave themselves is appropriately called Two Tongues.

Chris's lighter sound and Max's more sexual and aggressive tone mix perfectly together and it really makes the project.

It's a great collaboration because they both have really wanted to work with each other for a long time.

A++ album. 

BIG recommendation.

This vacation1 will prove to be just the opposite of the meaning of the word.

Normally I chill and work during vacations.

But this one will be spent catching up on schoolwork I've had to put aside for that dumbass scholarship thing.

I really want to make an EP this week.

I've been listening to a lot of Dear Hunter and Thrice lately.

And I'm just so inspired.

Anyhow.

I can't seem to get a good nights sleep.

Something always wakes me up in the morning.

Whether it's noise.

Or Maintenance people coming in and out to fix shit.

Or people coming to show the place.

Or whatever.

And it sucks because I LOVE sleep.

So this will be my new form of writing / picture sharing / information highway or whatever else interests me and i think should interest whoever reads this too.

I deleted my Livejournal from a while back a couple months ago because it was too lame.

I'm going to really try to keep my personal life as much out of this as possible. lol

Really i'm just going to be sharing my pictures and talking about new music i've found. or created? ...

if i get around to it. 

A lot of the time i'll find new music and be like.. "OMG I just HAVE to show people these guys!"

So this will be that. And maybe more.

who knows.

So let's start with a band i found a while back but just discovered their 2008 album.

The band is Forgive Durden. 

A Seattle, WA based band that originated with 4 members but now is narrowed down to one member: 

Thomas Dutton. 

A good looker, indeed.

And also a genius.

The newest album, Razia's Shadow, would not do justice to be called just a concept album.

It is truly meant for the stage.

Within the album is a script, and a story that would probably put up a fight with other musicals out right now.

With each different track, there is a different guest singer from another band on the same label, Fueled by Ramen Records.

To name a few: Brandon from Panic at the Disco, Max from Say Anything, and Casey from the Dear Hunter.

Each guest vocalist plays a different part or character.

From what I've gathered so far the story revolves around, what you would think would be cliche, story of love between a Prince and Princess. 

Everyone seems to be against the affair except for the 2 birds. Especially the Prince's brother (Brandon from Panic).

I don't want to give much more away because it's an amazing story and is full of surprises and enjoyment.

Go check it out and i highly recommend buying the album but if you're not into that just get it off a .torrent or some shit.

Either way it's way worth the effort to get it.
